Education Strategic Plan 2016 to 2021 have been published.

of National Education Strategic Plan 2016 to 2021 states that Universities in
Myanmar will gain the autonomy but the universities will need to establish the
University Chapters .
International
universities overseas are autonomous. They have drawn up the university
policies, University Rules, Management System and have formed the Governing
Councils.
In
Myanmar, all university rectors and academics largely
depend on Ministry of Education, Minister and Directors.
Now the
system is going forward to International Standards, the duties and
responsibilities of Professors will no longer be limited to academic matters,
they will also be required to take part in educational management and policy
developments of their universities.
The
