Physical Resources Summary

 

The following details the simulated workshop resources which complement current industry practices and meet the Training Package requirements.

 

(1) General Purpose Computer Laboratory --- Existing Facility

( No 23( 6th floor) Myothit 1 Street, Kyauk-myaung,Tamwe Township, Yangon)

·         Large whiteboard and screen.

·         Data projector and AV system.

·         Overhead projector

·         Chairs and desks for up to 16 students

·         Computer desks with 16 workstations (8 connected to the virtual Desktop Interface, and 8 connected to the general internet)

·         Computers are networked with Internet access on two separate systems to enable both hardware related units and software only units to be taught.

PLC Control Laboratory

·         Chairs and desks for up to 15 students

·         Workbenches with 15 workstations

·         Each workstation consists of a two-channel oscilloscope, dual-rail power supply, function generator, desktop computer and monitor.

·         Computers are networked with Internet access, and run the latest software for producing control programs for programmable logic controllers.

·         Basic leads, additional test equipment and components stored in classroom cupboards.

·         15 individual physical control project resources.  Eg controllable water tanks, pick and place equipment, conveyor belt

General Purpose Electronics and Computer Service Laboratory (Large whiteboard and screen.

·         Data projector and AV system.

·         Elmo projector (document camera and projection system)

·         Overhead projector

·         Workstations and seating for 30 students

·         Each workstation consists of a two-channel oscilloscope, dual-rail power supply, function generator, desktop computer and monitor.

·         Computers are networked with Internet access.

·         A separate storeroom for computer hardware equipment

·         Simulated metal workshop

·         Large whiteboard and screen.

·         Overhead projector

·         Metalwork workbenches and seating for 24 students

·         Vices and metal blocks

·         Heavy machinery including drills, guillotines, notchers, hole punchers, and metal benders.

 

·         Stores all equipment and components to service classes delivered in workshop room KG.1 (and other Electronics classes operating out of Building K). These include but are not limited to:

§  Tool boards

§  Soldering irons and accessories

§  Wires and leads

§  Electronic components (consumables)

§  Test equipment

§  Accessories for workshop machinery

§  Sheet aluminium

§  Personal protective Equipment (PPE)

·         Whiteboard and screen.

·         Overhead projector

·         Chairs and desks for up to 12 students

·         Workbenches with 8 workstations

·         Each workstation consists of a two-channel oscilloscope, dual-rail power supply, and function generator.

Power Systems Laboratory

(No 404 , 8th Street, 28 Ward, Yuzana Garden City, Yangon)

·         Data projector and AV system.

·         Overhead projector

·         Chairs and desks for up to 10 students

·         Workbenches with 15 workstations

·         Each workstation consists of a two-channel oscilloscope, dual-rail power supply and function generator.

·         Basic leads, additional test equipment and components stored in classroom cupboards.

·         Low voltage 3 phase sources, plus 415 3 phase outlets.

·         Access to storeroom and motor room on level 1 where the motors are kept.  They are too heavy to move to other levels.

(3)General Purpose Electronics and Flexible Delivery Laboratory and Learning Centre + General Purpose Theory Room -- Existing facility

·         Chairs and desks for up to 16 students

·         Workbenches with 8 workstations

·         Computers run Multisim circuit simulation software.

·         Call-out rooms allow for assessing students individually.

·         Basic leads, additional test equipment, components and LJ accessories are stored in the classroom and surrounding office areas.
